Women’s March Toronto
On January 21, the day after Donald Trump’s inauguration, protests took place across several cities as part of the Women’s March On Washington. Though I hadn’t planned on going to Toronto’s march, I’m glad my path happened to cross it. It’s one thing to call yourself a feminist or agree with equality but it’s quite another to act on it. I ended up walking with the crowds from Queen’s Park to Nathan Phillips Square, snapping some photos along the way.
For a “protest”, everyone was incredibly nice, friendly and inclusive (despite some of the aggressively worded signs).
One of the things that worries me most about Trump’s presidency is his total disregard for climate change.
Carrie Fisher would have been proud.
RIP patriarchy.
