Music of March
Tusks
I can’t remember where I first heard Tusks, but for the last few months I’ve been enamoured with her dark and moody atmospheric tracks. No album out yet, but she has a few great EPs on Spotify and recently released a new single, Toronto (which I’ve been listening to at least 8 times a day since it came out earlier this month):
Local Natives
Local Native’s most recent album, Sunlit Youth, came out last year and I was initially a little underwhelmed, but I’ve been coming back to it a lot recently. The track getting the most listens is Dark Days, which they’ve just released a music video for. There are a few remixes of the track on Spotify along with a live version with a special guest feature from Charlotte Day Wilson.
From Indian Lakes
Another album that came out last year that I’m getting into kind of late is Everything Feels Better now by From Indian Lakes.
Dark Rooms
I haven’t been able to get enough of this song since first hearing it in the trailer for A Ghost Story:
Charli XCX
I loved Charli’s super weird, experimental Vroom Vroom EP that came out last year so I had really high hopes for her newest project, Number 1 Angel. While not quite as experimental, it still didn’t disappoint.
