The 2017 San Diego Comic Con brought entertainment lovers a lot to be excited about. Check out my thoughts on some upcoming releases that I am excited to see. Once you are through with my thoughts jump into the conversation in the comment section to discuss yours!

Ready Player One

Ready Player One’s first trailer set the stage for an exciting sci-fi ride for both old and new lovers of the genre. The trailer shows that this movie will be riddled with sci-fi reference and out of this world action sequences. The scenes that are featured in this trailer show that it will be an action-packed ride from start to finish. This is definitely a movie to be excited about.

*And if you like the trailer I would recommend diving into the book it is based on, Ready Player One by Ernest Cline.

Justice League

The DC universe may not have had as strong an introduction as the Marvel cinematic universe, but I wouldn’t count this movie out just yet. There is a lot to be excited about in this trailer for any fan of the DC heroes. This new trailer for Justice League promises to continue the trend of large scale action scenes and over the top superhero battles. The real question is will they be able to nail the story aspects this time around? We will have to wait to find out. In the meantime, give the trailer a shot to get an idea of what the next chapter in this cinematic universe has in store:

Stranger Things – Season 2

This Netflix series blew everyone away in season one. The show came in under the radar catching most viewers by surprise. This was a hard series to walk away from. With so many eerie mystery elements and a cast full of amazing actors (most of whom are kids!), I am hoping that Stranger Things season two will live up to the expectations built in season one. The trailer below certainly doesn’t disappoint. Looks like they will be sticking with similar themes, while raising the stakes in the next instalment. Check it out:

Thor: Ragnarok

Marvel Studios is back with another superhero blockbuster. The Thor: Ragnarok trailer looks great and shows how this instalment will develop the story of both Thor and Hulk. Looks like a good mix of comedy and superhero action (the formula we have come to expect from Marvel). Get a sneak peek of what the next chapter of Thor’s story will look like in the trailer below:

Kingsman: The Golden Circle

If you have not seen the first movie, Kingsman: The Secret Service, then you are absolutely missing out. The Kingsman series is a great mix of over the top action scenes and a relatable sense of humour. The Golden circle appears to carry on the formula that succeeded in the first movie while introducing new and even more over the top characters. Give the trailer a shot, and if you haven’t already check out the first movie Kingsman: The Secret Service.
